History

Attica First Presbyterian started as the First Congregational Society of the Town of Attica Oct. 20, 1819.  The original meeting house was built in the summer of 1829 with the funds being raised by buying pews.  1869 a committee was appointed to propose a with specifications for a new brick church capable of seating 300 persons.

The sanctuary was erected 1872-1873. 

​

1890 the Johnson and Son Opus 744 pipe organ was installed 

​

1939 at the annual meeting of the congregation changed to the First Presbyterian Church. It has remained a vital area in the Attica area.  â€‹
